Life Extension Benefits

Life Extension
Life Extension, Disease and Prevention book

Ever heard of Life Extension?

They are a supplement company based off of current clinical research and testing.  I have been a member of theirs in the past and they have some very neat benefits for members.

Some member benefits include:

  • Receive a savings on Life Extension supplements, 25-50% off retail price.
  • Receive their monthly issue of Life Extension Magazine.
  • Receive phone access to naturopaths, nutritionists, nurses, and even personal trainers.
  • Eligible for discounts on prescription drugs.
  • Receive their Disease Prevention and Treatment book (a value of $69.95 - MY FAVORITE!)
  • Access to their mail-order blood testing services (a great tool at a discount)
By far, the most use I got out of my membership was their HUGE book mentioned above.  I still use this as a reference guide, even 12 years later!  This great book is available (Disease Prevention and Treatment 5th Edition ) on Amazon here without a membership.

They have two member options available, one a monthly member and the other as an annual member.  This is a great research company and if you like to stay up to date on the most recent studies, this would be a consideration for you to check out.

Granted, you don't have to be a member to purchase their supplements, but I think they do offer some great benefits if you are.

Free E-Books & Fermenting Real Foods Site

Cultures for Health

On the heels of our July, "Fermenting Month Challenge", I wanted to share a site that has so much to offer us REAL FOOD enthusiasts!

Even if you are not in the Real Food Challenge 2013 group or keeping up with the monthly challenges, Cultures for Health offers over 300 products to support a REAL FOOD lifestyle!

Not only that, they are offering free e-books just for signing up on their email list.

The free e-books include such titles as:
  • Lacto-Fermentation eBook
  • Learn to Make Kefir eBook
  • Learn to Make Yogurt eBook
  • Learn to Make Kombucha eBook
  • Learn to Make Sourdough eBook
I can honestly say I have just received my free Lacto-Fermentation eBook and have enjoyed browsing it for new recipes and also some neat tips.  It is not a skimpy e-book by any means, it has over 60 recipes and basic instructions to have you culturing any vegetable.  Plus, it's FREE!

If you are interested in purchasing your own cultures for yogurt, kefirs (milk and water), sourdough, and/or kombucha, this is the place I recommend and have used myself.

So, if fermenting foods or culturing your own kefir or sourdough bread is new to you, check out this site for lots of great tools and products to empower your own nutrition today...and don't forget to sign up for their great e-books!

Local?
If you are local, you can contact the email:   wapfpickenscounty@gmail.com and ask if the starter that you are interested in is available through any of the local chapter members.  The local chapter is planning on an upcoming lacto-fermentation class in the near future, so if you would like to be notified of this meeting, state that in the email as well.
