Some of My Favorite Cookbooks

My collection of Maria Emmerich's Cookbooks
My Maria Emmerich Cookbook Collection-not complete YET!

Here are some of my favorite cookbooks!  I have MANY, MANY cookbooks, but for weekly or even daily use, these are my favorites.  They all are authored by, Maria Emmerich.  I have done a post on her before as a nutritionist, which she is, but she is also a great "alternative-type" recipe producer.
She educates people that 4 carbohydrates = 1 teaspoon of sugar in your bloodstream regardless where those carbohydrates come from.

(Meaning a simple carbohydrate or a complex carbohydrate all are broken down into SUGAR.)

My mom has totally turned around her blood work and health by consulting with Maria (a type II Diabetic and heart attack survivor.)  Click here if you haven't read her testimonial.  I am not paid or reimbursed to promote her books, I just like them that much.  I like being able to prepare foods for myself and family that don't constantly raise their blood sugars and create insulin havoc  -
(↑ inflammation and all its hideous effects) in their bodies.  If you are looking for some cookbooks like that or need new ideas, please check them out.

Her books are available here at Maria

You can also browse her blog here for LOTS of low carb recipes that she so graciously shares!

(Be aware though, that these books do use alternative flours and sweeteners such as:  coconut flour, nut flours, stevia, xylitol, erythritol, Swerve, etc.)  These type of sweeteners are not for everybody as some people do not agree with use of certain sugar alcohols or sugar substitutes (WAPF does NOT recommend use of them.)

As for me, we don't overuse them and I do buy GMO free xylitol and erythritol.  Some things you just have to decide on your own.  I love avoiding wheat as much as possible, so learning how to use alternative low carb flours is great.  When your family likes what you prepare...that is a victory!
